The Coating That Does Not Mind Standing Water
Most roof coatings soften and break down when water sits on them for days. Silicone does not. It was formulated for exactly the conditions that destroy other products, which is a large part of why it now dominates the flat roof restoration market. WellBuilt Roofing applies Silicone Roofing in Hummelstown & Hershey, PA, and surrounding areas on commercial, industrial, and low-slope buildings.

Thickness Is Where Honesty Shows
Silicone gets sold by the promise and delivered by the mil. A system specified at twenty mils and applied at twelve will fail years early, and the owner has no way to tell from the ground. We measure wet film thickness as we go, document the coverage rate against the square footage, and hand you all of the numbers when the job is finished. Anything less is just expensive paint with a warranty attached to it, and you will find out the hard way three winters from now.
Why Building Owners Keep Choosing Silicone
Silicone costs more per gallon than acrylic products do, and on a roof that holds water after every rainfall it is not really a close comparison at all.
- Unmatched resistance to ponding water and constant moisture
- Excellent UV stability with minimal chalking over time
- Seamless membrane that bridges seams and small cracks
- Highly reflective white finish that reduces summer cooling loads
- Single-coat application on most prepared substrates
- Recoatable indefinitely without ever tearing off the system
Silicone bonds well to modified bitumen, metal, EPDM, TPO, and existing coatings once the surface has been properly cleaned and primed where required. Warranty terms typically run from ten to twenty years depending on the thickness we apply and the condition of the substrate underneath.
Owners frequently weigh this against Roof Restoration, Flat Roof Coatings, Commercial Roof Coatings, and Metal Roof Coatings.
